Eskdale MTB Park, Hawkes Bay

With over 500 members, the Hawkes Bay Mountain Bike Club is New Zealand's largest mountain bike club… and they have leveraged those numbers to create the fabulous Eskdale mountain bike park in Tangoio forest. There are over 80km of specialist cross-country trails, endless forestry roads and 4x4 tracks - catering for all levels of rider ability. There's a flurry of activity each winter when the earth softens a little, and more purpose built tracks are built by the HBMTBC, with the assistance of the local Napier Probation Department.

 

Ground Effect has funded trail signage and map board. We've also provided copies of IMBA's trail building books, 'Trail Solutions – IMBA's guide to building sweet singletrack' and 'Natural Surface trails by Design'.
