To find the Whitianga Bike Park take the sealed bike path to the end of Moewai Road near the airport. 6 km's of singletrack awaits, with room to grow. As always, it's lusty volunteers on the end of grubbers and shovels who create these playgrounds so flick the 'Bike Man' an email at thebikeman@xtra.co.nz or call 07 866 0745 to sign up for a work party - 2nd Sunday of each month at 9 am.

Once the winter rain stops on the Coromandel, the spring growth gets
a little out of hand. Ground Effect found $1000 for a new scrub cutter
to help keep the weeds at bay. IMBA's trail building books, 'Trail
Solutions – IMBA's guide to building sweet singletrack' and
'Natural Surface trails by Design' have also been added to the MTB
Park library.
